Ministry of Communications investigation into Telegram

On 12 August 2023, Iraq's Ministry of Communications (MOC) announced that the suspension of the Telegram app in Iraq will be lifted on 13 August 2023 based on the Prime Minister's instructions and the company's response and cooperation. The suspension order was taken based on concerns over the protection of users' personal data and national security.
