CIS approves draft law to regulate AI

The Standing Commission of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly on Science and Education has approved a draft model law to regulate the use of AI. The draft law aims to create uniform rules for managing public relations related to AI use by (1) establishing uniform definitions and principles for AI use in CIS countries, (2) proposing common model rules for rule-making, (3) ensuring safety in AI applications, and (4) creating a unified technological development space for innovative economic growth in the region.

CIS adopts concept of the model law for AI

The Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States Permanent Commission on Science and Education approved the concept of the draft Model Law on AI. The concept document calls for common approaches to the system of legal regulation of public relations arising from the use of AI technologies, which should be human-oriented and aimed at improving the quality of life.
